Registrations, licences and audits
Everything a procurement or compliance team is likely to ask for, in one place. Copies are downloadable, and every number here can be verified with the issuing authority.
These documents exist because buyers ask for them, and because a distributor that cannot produce a licence number is not a distributor. Click any certificate to view it full size.
VAT registration
Federal Tax Authority, TRN 100472839500003. All invoices are issued as compliant UAE tax invoices.
Free zone facility permit
Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority permit for our bonded storage unit, which is what allows us to hold goods in transit without a duty event.
ISO 9001:2015
Quality management, covering goods intake, inspection, storage, order picking and despatch. Audited annually by an accredited body.
ISO 14001:2015
Environmental management, mostly relevant to how we handle packaging waste and the disposal of failed electronics.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce
Membership since 2020. This is the body that issues our certificates of origin for export shipments.
What our quality system actually covers
ISO 9001 certification is easy to display and easy to misread. Ours covers the physical handling of goods, not the goods themselves. In practice it means five things are documented and audited:
- Every unit is booked in against a purchase order, with the serial number recorded before it is put away.
- Incoming goods are inspected for packaging tampering, part number mismatch and visible damage, and rejected units are quarantined rather than shelved.
- Functional testing is performed to a written procedure per product line, and the record is retained against the serial.
- Picking is verified by a second person against the sales order before packing.
- Non-conformances and customer returns are logged, investigated and reviewed quarterly.
What it does not mean is that we manufacture, test to a manufacturer's specification, or certify performance. We are handling other companies' products.
Export compliance
We screen orders against UAE export controls and applicable international sanctions lists before shipping, and we will decline an order rather than guess. For controlled items and certain destinations we require end-user details in writing. This occasionally slows an order down by a day, which is the correct trade-off.
